How to get Sri Lanka Visa
The VISA issuing authority of the ETA is the Department of Immigration & Emigration. For a Short Visit to Sri Lanka, travelers should obtain an ETA valid visa with effect from 1st of January 2012.

Diplomatic and Official passport holders are exempt from ETA processing fee, only when their applications are submitted through the state agencies such as Ministries, Statutory Bodies, Sri Lanka Overseas Missions etc. The ETA is initially limited to 30 days validity from the date of arrival although it may be extended for up to six (06) months. Northeast called “Maha” monsoon hits the east coast from November to March (wettest from November to December). During the inter-monsoonal period of unsettled weather preceding the Maha monsoon in October and November. During this time heavy rainfall and thunderstorms can occur anywhere across the island.
Best time to visit Sri Lanka
Depends on your travel dates you can decide whether you cover the west and south or East coast. If you’re heading to the west and south coasts and hill country, December to March is the best time to visit Sri Lanka. If you plan on seeing the east coast, you’ll get the best weather from April/May to September.
